Congratulations, Gregg & Lindsey!!

We wrapped up another weekend of back to back weddings last night, and this time by celebrating the wedding of Gregg & Lindsey. Unlike some of the other blog entrees, this one has a little story that is definitely crazy to think about (well for me anyway). About 4 years ago while working as a district manager for the company I was with, these two worked for me. They both had tremendous talent, and after placing them both in the same office, it was only a matter of time before they approached me to let me know they had began seeing each other and might want to move them to different offices. I couldn't have guessed for all the money in the world back then that I would be shooting their wedding a few years later..... it's crazy how things like that happen sometimes!

Obviously, this wedding had a lot of meaning for me as I'm huge fans of both Gregg & Lindsey, and we had a lot of fun being a part of their special day. We quickly ran out of light to do many of the photo ideas we had originally hoped for, but still managed to get some great shots, and even had a few minutes to go over to the carosel to do some night shots (that we sort of broke into - it's a long story!)

We have about 4 weddings on the burner right now, but will hope to have the images from this event available for online viewing & ordering within a few weeks. For those that attended this wedding and are intersted in pre-registering their name to receive an email when images go live, you may do so by clicking the link below:

Congrats, Gregg & Lindsey.... hope you guys have a blast on your honeymoon!

Congratulations, Dave & Lydia!

Another extremely hot day, but another beautiful wedding! We spent the day in New Jersey yesterday with good friends, Dave & Lydia to capture their special day. I've known Dave for several years now, and it was a great feeling to be a part of such a special event in his life and to see him wed such an amazing woman.... these two make such an amazing couple, and I'm really happy for them (espcially since I know them). I want to recognize Lydia for being one of the most easy brides to work with..... I think this girl was born with a smile on her face that goes ear to ear!

Dave & Lydia had an amazing Ukranian-style wedding in one of the most beautiful churches I have ever seen - we are so used to having rushed ceremonies, so it was nice to have this one go over an hour so we could get lots of different shots. After the ceremony, they headed in a Rolls-Royce over to the Lambert Castle to take photos, which was also an incredible place. I'd have to say, this was one of my more stressful weddings if I'm being honest. Aside from having a huge bridal party, and not knowing the area like I do the Capital Region, we got to the castle only to find 4 (yes four!) wedding parties all there to take photos..... it was a bit like a photographer war zone, but I think we did alright despite the chaos!

We have hundreds and hundreds of photos from the day, and will hope to have them available for online viewing & ordering within a couple/few weeks. For those interested (and attended this wedding), you can click the link below to pre-register your email to receive noticiation of when images go live:

Thanks again to Dave & Lydia and we wish you all the best in your new marriage!

3 of 3 - Logan & Jacquie.....

And last, but not least........ the amazing wedding of Jacquie & Logan!

It's been a whirlwind of a weekend for us and feel like I've not only been carrying a brick (my camera) around for 3 straight days, but have had the opportunity to meet hundreds of people at three different weddings, with 3 completely different styles. Despite my exhaustion, I found it extremely interesting this weekend to compare all the different styles and ways different couples celebrate their marriage - I've definitely had a lot of fun and have lots of funny stories (such as me shooting out of toilet stall yesterday to get shots of the bride for example). I may put together a compilation of all the insane and funny stuff I experienced at the end of the season for something fun - haha. My brain is absolute mush right now, and am running on about 10 hours sleep from the entire weekend I think, so I may hibernate for a couple days to get rested up (We have another round of double weddings coming up next weekend - yikes!)

Ok... I'm done whining now. We actually had a blast yesterday shooting with Jacquie & Logan, and they definitely had a one-of-a-kind wedding that almost seemed choriographed (actuallly, I think a lot of it was)...... this was the type of wedding everyone would want to be a guest at and I'm sure the partying went on well past the time we left out by the bonfire. Not that other couples aren't, but you can tell how perfectly Jacquie & Logan fit together with everything they say and do..... sorta like the peanut butter & jelly of a sandwich. I'm sure their marriage will be equally as amazing as their wedding was and we wish them the very best of luck.

To all those interested in doing so, you can pre-register your email to receive notification of when images go live for online viewing & ordering by clicking the link below. We obviously, have 3 weddings to go through from the weekend, with two more approaching quickly, so will be a bit backed up I'm afraid...... we're hoping to have things up and running withing 2-3 weeks.

Congrats again to all the new couples of this weekend! Back to bed..... stay tuned for lots and lots more of stuff coming over the next several weeks - it's going to be insane! :)

2 of 3 - Krista & Andy.....

Ok, so it's 4:30 in the morning, and I'm up once again, working because I can't sleep..... I suppose I'll get another blog entry out of the way....

Let me first start by apologizing ahead of time if it seems like I'm giving favoritism by posting more samples of this wedding than usual, however the wedding of Andy & Krista was clearly one of those amazing weddings of the year where lots of photographic opportunities presented themself. (I should also use their wedding as an example to future brides and grooms of what we can do when having LOTS of time for photography (hint hint)

Both Krista & Andy are such amazing people, and were absolute troopers when it came to wanting to do photo after photo with all the different creative ideas we wanted to do with them. From an amazing church, a park on the water, and reception at the Grandview overlooking the Hudson River while the sun went down, everything was just incredible..... this is one of those weddings I could shoot every weekend if I had to.

We'd like to thank Krista & Andy for their extremely generous hospitality that started from the very beginning and lasted all night long.... it's not often a bride greets you by yelling down the street at you as you get out of your car to approach the house, or a groom is so thankful at the end of the night, he wants to give you a hug (don't worry guys, I'm not lookin' for hugs!) .... these are just examples of what wonderful people these two are.

As usual, we have hundreds of photos to go through, and will hope to have them up online for viewing/ordering within a couple weeks if possible. Shooting 3 weddings in a row this weekend will definitely put us a bit behind schedule, but I'm confident we can crank through all of them quickly with a few sleepless nights at the computer (fun stuff). Please pre-register your email at the link below to receive notification of when images go live!

I'm now headed back to bed to try and get a few hours of sleep before we get up and do this all over again - be sure to check back later... lots more good stuff coming up!

A Quick Teaser!

Photos are still loading from the Krista & Andy wedding, but here's a quick teaser image that was taken from the balcony of the Grandview in Poughkeepsie....... What and Amazing place!

Check back tomorrow for more samples of this amazing wedding!!!

1 of 3 - Matt & Lindsay.....

I began this weekend wondering how on earth I'm going to keep my sanity (and rest), shooting 3 weddings in a row with about 4-5 hours sleep in between each one. We now have 2 out of 3 completed, however am a bit behind on my blog entrees. We spent the evening last night with Matt & Lindsay, who tied the knot at Mallozzi's in Schenectady and had a jam packed with events reception that was a ton of fun. This wedding had pretty much every event you could possibly think of, from singers to the limbo, to village people, chicken dancing, bouquet toss, and a few other things in there too I think. Lots of good photo stuff to sort through!

We'd like to thank Matt & Lindsay as well as their families for allowing us to take part in this event, and will hope to have the photos up online for viewing/ordering within a couple weeks. For those interested, you can pre-register your email to receive notification when images go live at the link below!

P.S. Before the wedding I decided to purchase some lotto tickets for the 330 million dollar jackpot. I came home to find out that we hit 4 out of 5!!! Can someone PLEASE explain to me, how the payout on this is only $150??? Grrrrrrr!

P.S.S. Just got home from the Krista & Andy wedding (#2 of the weekend), and am downloading images as we speak..... stay tuned for sample images from this amazing wedding very soon!

And Yet..... Another Upgrade!

We upped the anti again tonight by purchasing a new 40" 1080p High Def LCD monitor last night....... with it's insane resolution, the image quality on this baby is unbelieveable and makes the 30" apple display look like yesterday's technology! While we'll continue to do our normal wedding reception slideshows with an Apple display, clients will now have the option to go big if they want to with the amazing 40" high definition slideshow at their wedding if they wish. Trust me when I say your wedding will be talked about for weeks with amazing 17 megapixel images going across a Sony LCD!!!

If anyone is interested in doing this for their upcoming wedding, feel free to contact us!

Congratulations, Clarence & Amy!

In two of the hottest days all summer, I somehow survived two back to back weddings! I hate to jinx myself for the next weekend, but I would honestly have to say that yesterday was probably the hottest it's ever been while shooting a wedding..... not a pretty sight for those of us in suits in 100 degree weather with humidity, but I suppose it's one of those things we'll all look back and laugh at..... (not right away though! :)

Another beautiful ceremony that took place in the Yaddo Gardens of Saratoga Springs, however this time to celebrate the wedding of Clarence and Amy. We ended up leaving the gardens a few minutes earlier than we wanted to due to the intense heat for everyone, and 10 minutes later it started to downpour with thunder and lighting, so I think we got extremely lucky! (I was already soaked enough, trust me).

Anyway, it was an awesome wedding, with a fun bunch, and we later headed to the Saratoga Elks club, where the reception was held. As usual, we have hundreds and hundreds of photos from the entire event, and will be working to get them done and uploaded for online viewing & ordering as quickly as possible (by the way, the wedding from Friday night (Ed & Sara) will be done today - that's 48 hours!). For those that would like to pre-register their emails to receive notification of when images go live for the Clarence and Amy wedding, you can do so at the link below!

Congrats again to Clarence & Amy!

P.S. We'll be shooting 3 back to back weddings next weekend, so be sure to check back for lots more samples and events...... we are just warming up! (no pun intended)
