Headshots With Alyssa!

Went back to work today, and had an awesome shoot with Alyssa for her new set of headshots. As you can see, Alyssa is extremely photogenic and certainly made my job easy! We'd like to thank Alyssa for a fun shoot, and of course for her business! Photos should be up and ready for viewing/ordering soon. Yikes - Look Out!

No work today - just a relaxing day sleeping in, cooking out, and basically doing nothing! Here's a shot of our insane Boston Terrier (Dexter) playing ball in the yard.... his world clearly revolves around playing ball - must be nice!

On a side note, I'm pretty excited as I received a letter that one of my favorite images has been selected to be published in an upcoming photography book, and is now a finalist for a $10,000 prize for a national contest. I'll keep you posted when the book comes out and is available in stores. For now.... keep those fingers crossed - I could use an extra $10K! Below is the photo, titled, "Vermont Life." Sorry for the boring post - we've got a few shoots scheduled for tomorrow, so will check back tomorrow maybe!

Fun with Family and a '53 Chevy...

There's nothing better than finishing up a long day with two great photo shoots! Tonight we ventured up to Clifton Park to do a fun family photo shoot with Pam and her family (Duane, Tom, Kelly, Steven, and Jerry). After years of shooting, I've suddenly realized that for any shoot to be a success, you simply toss a '53 chevy into the image, and whala!

We'd like to thank Pam and her family for a great shoot this evening, and certainly hope they will enjoy the images - tough to take a bad photo with the setting we had to work with! Thanks again! Here's a sample from the day above.

Another Pregnancy!

Had an awesome session this morning with Traci and her family (Troy & Alecia), and got some AMAZING images to show off the tummy and soon to come newborn. The baby is due in August, so if you stick around long enough, you may be able to keep up to date with things :)

Traci, Troy, and Alecia all have awesome personalities and were so easy to work with - we'd like to sincerely thank them for making things smooth, and of course for their business! We wish them the bust of luck, and hope to get the chance to work with them again after the baby is born. Thanks again, guys!

Ok...off to do another shoot, see ya soon!

And There Was Light!

I've been on vacation this week, and needless to say.... am way behind on my blog upkeep. Not a lot to report on unfortunately, other than how much work I'm getting done around the house! Anyway, took a quick "snapshot" for ya of some cool light coming through the trees this evening - who says you need to leave the house to get a cool photo every now and then!?

Anyway, have some cool shoots coming up this week, and will report back later - just felt the need to post something in the meantime. See ya soon! By the way, does anyone actually read this stuff? Drop me a line below if ya want!

Headshots with Michael

Today was clearly another day to relax at home, since apparently it decides to rain every weekend now as of late. I keep meaning to try and mow my lawn, but the continuous rain gives me an excuse to let it grow yet another inch higher! Perhaps the sun will come out a bit this week?

This evening we did a headshot session with Michael for his new portfolio. Michael was very easy to work with and we wish him the best of luck - thanks again, Michael!

Shooting with a Pro!

Ok..... so not really, just with the camera I guess. Despite the rain this morning, we managed to get out on the course at the Red Hook Golf Club, with golf pro, John Mahon. John is will soon be featured in an upcoming golf magazine article where we can all read more about him! Thanks for toughing it out in the rain with us, John, and we look forward to seeing the final results of the article! In the meantime, I'm sure John would love to have as many of you visit the Red Hook Golf Club as possible!

Rain, Rain, and More Rain!

Just when you think the rain will stop, it just keeps coming. We've had nearly 3 consecutive days of rain here, in NY, and according to the weather, we can expect more tomorrow, the next day, and possibly even Wednesday. Despite the gloomy weather, I've decided to make the best of being indoors, by watching movies, drinking coffee, and of course taking a nap or two throughout the day! Anyway, sorry for such a boring post, but not a whole lot going on today...... we have some fun shoots coming up with week, followed by a wedding this weekend, that we'll be sure to post some samples of.... check back for more later. Ok, with that said, I think it's time for a nap!
